Duties:
* Plan and Teach engaging Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages (likely age 11:16).
* Deliver Practical Sessions (cooking) safely, ensuring all hygiene rules are strictly followed.
* Manage the Classroom and resources to create a positive and orderly learning environment.
* Assess Student Work (practical and written) and track their progress to help them achieve their best.
* Set Clear Expectations for behaviour and work, maintaining high standards in the Food Technology room.
* Maintain Equipment and ensure the kitchen area is clean, safe, and fully stocked for lessons.
* Contribute to the School by attending staff meetings and sharing in the wider life of the school (e.g., extra:curricular clubs or tutor duties).
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) : You must have a formal teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
* Strong Subject Knowledge in Food Technology, including cooking, nutrition, and food science.
* Experience teaching Food Technology to secondary school students (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4/GCSE).
* Excellent Classroom Management skills to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
* Current Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing for one).
