About The Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Head of Art to join our team at The Victory Academy. The Head of Art will lead by example, develop, inspire and motivate the art department and be committed to achieving high standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead the art department, fostering a supportive environment and maintaining the Platinum Artsmark Award standards.
* Develop comprehensive programmes of study, create resources, design schemes of work and implement effective assessment and teaching strategies.
* Lead and manage all aspects of the curriculum, monitoring the quality and consistency of provision.
* Collaborate with teachers to ensure relevance to students’ needs, examining and awarding bodies, and the Academy’s Aims and Development Plan objectives.
Qualifications
* Experience of teaching and leading across the subject area with a proven background of achieving successful outcomes.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Positive attitude and enthusiasm for embracing new ideas.
