The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join a supportive and expanding team. The successful candidate will work on a varied caseload covering both privately funded and legally aided matters.
The role offers the chance to handle a broad range of family law issues, particularly those relating to children matters, divorce, and financial arrangements. The firm welcomes candidates with either a broad family law practice or those developing a particular specialism.
Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of family law matters including children issues, divorce proceedings, and financial remedy work.
* Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients on a range of family law matters.
* Conducting both private and legal aid work in accordance with regulatory and firm procedures.
* Ensuring files are progressed efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care.
* Keeping clients informed of progress, developments, and costs throughout their matter.
* Maintaining accurate time recording and working towards agreed billing targets.
* Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the wider team.
Qualifications
* Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 1–3 years’ PQE in family law.
* Experience handling matters relating to children, divorce, and financial settlements.
* Experience of both legal aid and privately funded work is desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A client-focused approach with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
