AQD Corporate Reporting Advisory Senior Manager

Overview
Audit quality is central to our strategy as an Audit Stream. Consistent high audit quality enables us to attract, develop and retain talented people and play a key role in market reform. This role requires a senior manager to join the Corporate Reporting Advisory Team (CRT) in the Audit Quality Department (AQD) to help shape the team and expand our capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners within AQD, the Audit Stream and across the firm.
* Maintain and encourage an open and constructive environment for technical accounting support.
* Bring pre-existing financial services specialist technical accounting knowledge (Banking, Alternative Finance, Fintech or Insurance) to the CRT team.
* Provide support and supervision to junior team members.
* Technical review of a portfolio of annual reports for publicly traded and higher‑risk companies, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, company legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Provide clear and practical solutions to complex technical financial reporting queries and act as a consultant for junior members.
* Prepare and present financial reporting training, updates and seminars internally and externally.
* Help develop financial reporting tools and guidance for partners and staff.
* Write articles and publications on financial reporting matters for internal and external communications.
* Assist in drafting responses to external consultations on legal, regulatory and financial reporting matters.
* Monitor external developments in financial reporting areas and report back to the team, developing action plans where required.
* Support and coach junior members of the CRT and wider AQD team.
Qualifications & Experience
* ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
* Senior Manager in a technical team or relevant experience in technical financial reporting.
* Strong working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, Companies Act and financial services sector specialism (Banking, Alternative Finance, Fintech or Insurance).
* Experience performing technical reviews of annual reports for listed companies.
* Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to complex financial reporting issues and provide practical solutions.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the scenario.
* Ability to create productive relationships across the firm and influence senior professionals.
* Willingness to work as part of a close‑knit team and as a self‑directed individual.
* Highly motivated, proactive, and innovative.
