Overview
Signatus Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancing Legal Secretary for a multi-office law firm based in the Ballyclare/Glengormley/Antrim area. You will join a team of support and administrative staff who assist one of the most prominent property solicitors in the jurisdiction. Your main responsibilities will include setting diary appointments, managing client expectations and updating clients on progress of files, collating evidence and documents needed for transactions, and liaising with estate agents, financial institutions and other professionals. Existing clients include major residential developers and high-net-worth individuals with multiple residential property portfolios. You will be exposed to and gain experience with detailed property contracts, leases and transfers involved in the sales of plots in freehold and leasehold projects.
Responsibilities
* Assist the conveyancing solicitor in setting diary appointments, managing client expectations and updating clients on progress of files.
* Collate evidence and documents needed for transactions; liaise with estate agents, financial institutions and other professionals.
* Be exposed to and gain experience with detailed property contracts, leases and transfers involved in the sales of plots in freehold and leasehold projects.
* Support other staff as part of a team of conveyancing and admin professionals.
Qualifications
* Previous legal secretarial experience (ideally in a predominantly residential conveyancing-based role, but other experienced secretaries transitioning into property will be considered).
* Prior experience dealing with major property developments would be ideal.
* Strong knowledge of conveyancing procedures and land registry searches is also ideal.
Salary and Benefits
Salary on offer will depend on experience. There is a full benefits package available as well as a generous bonus and annual leave.
