Role: Maintenance Engineer - Nights
Location: Market Deeping
Salary: £53,000
Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm – 6am
Our client has recently opened a brand‑new facility in Market Deeping and is looking for a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the night shift team. You will be entrusted with continuous improvement of our equipment and will operate autonomously to keep production running without constant managerial oversight.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery.
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime.
* Work independently on nights to keep production running smoothly.
* Strip, repair, and rebuild machinery when required.
* Support machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
* Collaborate with production to eliminate recurring issues.
* Help maintain stock levels of critical spares and engineering materials.
Qualifications
* Multi‑skilled Engineering experience with both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Strong fault‑finding abilities across production/manufacturing equipment.
* Confidence working on motors, drives, sensors, control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
* Comfortable working independently and making decisions on shift.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or fully time‑served.
* Proactive attitude with pride in keeping machinery running properly.
