Position Overview
There is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic physiotherapy team as a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist. The team consists of 13 staff working across Forth Valley in clinics, schools, community and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
This community Band 6 post includes independent assessment, diagnosis and management of a varied and complex paediatric caseload across community and inpatient settings, using highly developed analytical and clinical reasoning skills. The postholder will plan, implement and evaluate physiotherapy interventions, liaise closely with families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for children and young people.
Additionally, the role includes supporting work within the children's ward and contributing to the training, supervision and development of junior staff, in partnership with the Band 7 team.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience working across the wider multidisciplinary team in all aspects of community paediatric physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel across the area of service delivery.
