Location: London / Bristol - Hybrid
Salary: £50-55,000
Team: People Partnering
Reporting To: People Partner

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?
You'll be joining the People Team at Kaluza - a team of 20 spread across London, Bristol, Edinburgh, and now Melbourne

You'll report to Kimberley, our People Partner for Technology, and will have close relationships across the People, Finance & Technology functions.

What will I be doing?
As our Employee Relations Advisor, you will be the expert on all employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. You will advise and coach leaders on complex issues, mitigate risk, and act as a central pillar in maintaining our high-trust culture. Your work will directly impact our business by resolving challenges and protecting our team and company.

Your responsibilities will be focused on:

* Employee Relations Management (50%): Own and resolve a high volume of complex and sensitive employee relations cases from end-to-end, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, and absence management. You will conduct thorough investigations, provide expert counsel to leaders, and ensure fair and consistent resolutions that mitigate risk.
* Proactive Risk & Policy (30%): Leverage your expertise to identify emerging trends and potential risks within the organization. You will use insights from your caseload to inform and shape proactive solutions, including manager training and policy refinements, ensuring they remain relevant, fair, and legally compliant.
* Management Coaching (20%): Serve as a trusted advisor to People Leaders, providing coaching and support on a variety of sensitive people matters. While your primary focus is ER, you will proactively coach managers on policies, leadership skills, and best practices in employee relations, equipping them to navigate challenging situations effectively and to role-model our values.

About You
Ideally you'll have/be

* Deep ER Expertise: You have significant hands-on experience in managing a high volume of complex employee relations cases.
* Strategic & Proactive: You are a proactive thinker who uses data and case insights to influence policy and training, moving beyond reactive problem-solving.
* Scaling Acumen: Experience navigating the complexities of a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within the technology or SaaS sector.
* Trusted Advisor: You build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially-aware advice.
* UK Legal Expertise: A robust understanding of UK employment law and the ability to apply it practically to deliver effective solutions.
* Exceptional Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
