Overview
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects across sectors such as education, public sector, and coastal engineering. You'll work on projects ranging from £0.5m to £20m+, either leading smaller initiatives or assisting on major ones.
Your Role
* Deliver projects using best‑practice project and programme management standards.
* Assist in leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Advise clients on cost, programme, risks, and issues.
* Produce monthly reports including project programmes and risk registers.
* Support stakeholder communications and relationships.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and toolkits.
* Contribute to fee proposals and bid submissions.
* Support senior colleagues on complex projects.
About You
* Degree qualification in relevant field desirable.
* Aspirations to develop existing project management qualifications and progress to Chartered Project Manager status with either APM or RICS.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex client organisations, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and information to diverse audiences.
* Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading teams and driving results in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and implementing innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
