Repairs Supervisor - Social Housing

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a respected social housing provider in East London. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable and rewarding position, overseeing responsive repairs and ensuring residents' homes are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day responsive repairs across social housing properties
Allocate workloads to operatives and contractors, ensuring jobs are completed on time and within budget
Carry out inspections and post-works checks to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
Act as the main point of contact for residents, ensuring excellent customer care and communication
Monitor KPIs and contractor performance, producing reports for senior management
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with housing legislation and health & safety requirements
Support continuous improvement in repairs service delivery and resident satisfaction
Requirements
Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within social housing - essential
Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and housing maintenance
Experience managing operatives and subcontractors in a housing environment
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a resident-focused approach
Knowledge of compliance, housing legislation, and health & safety standards
Full UK driving licence preferred
