A respected and growing M&E Building Services contractor in the Southampton area is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator. The business is known for delivering high-quality projects typically ranging from £100k to £2m across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, with long-term client relationships and a supportive, team-focused culture. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will: Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for mechanical services projects. Review drawings/specifications, carry out take-offs, and obtain supplier quotes. Lead or support tender submissions and bid documentation. Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams. Support value-engineering and cost-optimisation initiatives. Skills & Experience
Mechanical Building Services estimating background (HVAC, plumbing, heating). Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Collaborative, clear communicator; comfortable working in a team. Remuneration Package
Mechanical Estimator Base Salary: £50,000 to £75,000 reflective of experience and seniority.
Hybrid company car (or car allowance) plus travel expenses. Pension scheme. Phone & laptop provided. 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing annually to 28 days). Occasional working from home, depending on workload and project requirements. Supportive culture with real career development.
