A vacancy has become available within the Infrastructure Team for a Digital Infrastructure Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking team of skilled technicians, dedicated to maintaining a robust, high‑performing, and modern ICT infrastructure.
Overview
The Digital Infrastructure Technician will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the NSFT Trust’s IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for the implementation, support, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of core digital systems, ensuring they operate reliably and effectively to meet the needs of the organisation.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Digital Services such as Service Desk, Field Support and Systems teams, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality digital services.
Responsibilities
* Support and deploy a range of technologies, including Microsoft server operating systems and applications, Cisco networking and telephony equipment, Azure cloud services, SQL databases and Veeam backup solutions.
* Lead technical aspects of infrastructure projects, implement new technologies, and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning and supporting emerging systems.
* Respond effectively to diverse support needs and resolve issues efficiently.
* Travel to various NSFT sites across Norfolk and Suffolk and hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in supporting and deploying technologies such as Microsoft server OS, Cisco networking, Azure, SQL, and Veeam.
* Strong communication skills and a practical, solution‑focused approach to technical inquiries.
* Willingness to learn and support emerging systems.
Interview Process
Due to the importance of this role, the interview process will include four technical competency‑based questions, followed by a 30‑minute technical assessment to evaluate the candidate’s skills and suitability for the position.
