Are you a recent graduate with keen interest in starting your career in the fashion and garment industry? We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Fabric Technologist to join my client’s dynamic team at their Leicester HQ.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality and innovation of fabrics used in garment production. You’ll also benefit from a clear progression pathway into a Garment Technologist position.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Junior Fabric Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
-Coordinating fabric testing to ensure compliance with industry and client standards (e.g., shrinkage, durability, and colourfastness).
-Reviewing test results and compiling technical reports.
-Building strong relationships with fabric suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
-Supporting the fabric approval process, including lab dips, bulk fabric, and sample approvals.
-Assisting in resolving fabric-related issues during production.
Collaborating with the Garment Technologist team to ensure the seamless integration of fabrics into designs.
What We’re Looking For
Education: A degree in Textile Technology, Fashion & Textiles, or a related field.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of fabric properties, testing methods, and garment construction (additional training provided).
