Maintenance Engineer (534 / 27413) – Gloucester – Up to GBP47,000 – Shift pattern: mixture of Earlies, Days and Lates; NO Weekends.

Role and Responsibilities
* Provide electrical and mechanical support across production and packaging machinery
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to reduce downtime
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement tasks
* Support the installation and integration of new equipment and technology
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain performance, efficiency, and safety standards
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 3)
* Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and preventative maintenance ability
* Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
* A team player with strong communication skills; self-motivated and adaptable
* Experience within FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
* Familiar with RCM, FMEA, PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and automated equipment
* Experience across multi-disciplinary engineering projects
* Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings (NVQ3 minimum)
* Working on motors, gearboxes, chain drives, conveyors, pumps, and bearings
* 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems, basic PLC knowledge, inverters and control systems
* Steam boilers, steam and condensate systems, heat exchangers, and soft water plant
