Job Opportunity: Pharmacist in Primary Care, NHS Fife
NHS Fife has a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist to join our friendly primary care team in Dunfermline. The role involves supporting GP practices with medicines reconciliation, prescription requests, medication reviews, and other tasks in line with the GMS contract. There is potential for full utilization of prescribing duties daily within the team.
The pharmacist will work with GP practices as part of a multi-professional team to ensure the safe, quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective use of medicines. Pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team are integrated into all practices to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care, aiming for optimal patient outcomes, harm reduction, and waste avoidance.
You will be supported by Senior Practice Pharmacists and work alongside an expanding team of Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Medicines Management Support Workers.
This full-time position (37 hours/week) offers excellent developmental opportunities in primary care. Part-time hours (minimum 28 hours/week) will be considered. Experience in primary care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The role includes access to staff development sessions, clinical topics, and educational events.
