Offer description

We operate a bilingual policy. All applicants are invited to apply in Welsh, and any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application made in English.

Ceredigion is a beautiful rural area with a dramatic coastline and bustling communities. It is a county rich in history, culture, and community. Ceredigion schools aim to provide the highest standards in education, and there is a very good relationship between the schools and Learning Services.

We are looking for an assistant educational psychologist to join our enthusiastic service, which is part of the wider Additional Learning Needs, Inclusion, and Wellbeing team.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of qualified psychologists to support them in their statutory duties in accordance with the Additional Learning Needs Code Wales 2021 and implement other policies and processes of the A.L.

We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated assistant educational psychologist who intends to pursue a career in Educational Psychology.

For more information and an informal chat, please contact Angharad Behnan, Principal Educational Psychologist, via Angharad.Behnan@ceredigion.gov.uk to arrange a telephone chat.

Note: We reserve the right to extend the application closing date.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults at risk. As part of this commitment, certain roles within our organization require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to assess the suitability of candidates. This role will require an Enhanced DBS check. Please note that the presence of previous convictions will not necessarily disqualify a candidate from consideration. We assess each applicant on a case-by-case basis, considering the nature and relevance of any convictions in relation to the role's responsibilities. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive work environment where all individuals are treated fairly and with respect. If you have concerns or questions regarding this process, please contact us for clarification. Your privacy and dignity are of utmost importance throughout the recruitment process.
