The Head of Operations works closely with the COO to oversee the day to day operational activities and resilience of the firm, including the Trade Finance and Treasury departments. You will support the delivery of the strategic business plan by ensuring operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the COO in executing strategic objectives and translating long term plans into operational delivery.
* Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with the company's strategic plan.
* Supervise and optimise operational processes, controls, and infrastructure across Operations, Trade Finance, and Treasury to support growth and sustainability.
* Lead the operational resilience framework, including risk identification, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting.
* Manage third party risk and outsourcing frameworks, ensuring supplier resilience and robust contingency planning.
* Oversee the Operations, Trade Finance, and Treasury teams, ensuring efficient transaction processing in compliance with relevant policies (AML, KYC, Operational Risk, Credit Risk, ICC rules).
* Drive business transformation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
* Foster a culture of risk awareness, high performance, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure effective delegation and team management during planned absences.
* Support training, development initiatives, and knowledge sharing across teams.
* Coordinate with risk, compliance, and business functions to maintain operational resilience governance, service mapping, impact tolerances, and incident management.
* Lead supplier oversight activities, including risk assessment, incident reviews, and resilience testing.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in operations management within financial services, with strong knowledge of Trade Finance, Treasury, operational risk, financial crime prevention, and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex processes, and drive operational resilience frameworks.
* Strong understanding of outsourcing risk management and supplier oversight.
* Excellent communication, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive change, and work collaboratively across functions.
