Contract: Permanent Location: Nottingham Recruitment Partner: Anastasia Walker About the role As Head of Toiletries, you'll lead the category strategy, drive sales and profitability, manage supplier relationships and oversee the product direction and NPD pipeline. Collaborating cross functionally, leading your team to optimise the range, pricing and promotions to meet customers needs and market trends, ensuring Boots remains a leader in the toiletries sector. This is a permanent L4, full time role, based in Nottingham Key responsibilities The toiletries business consists of 3 categories, led by 3 category managers - Personal care, Men's and Dental. In personal care, you will drive the innovation across bath, body and deodorant ranges balancing heritage brands with emerging trends. The Men's category presents an exciting opportunity to strengthen Boots' presence in male grooming and skincare, alongside hygiene, aligning with evolving customer behaviour and lifestyle shifts. The dental category requires a strategic approach to health and wellness, offering customers trusted oral care solutions whilst also exploring new formats across the beauty space. Working closely with the Electrical Beauty team to span across manual to Electrical toothbrush options – and dovetailing into the Oral Care strategy work. You'll oversee the commercial strategy from planning to execution, with a keen eye focused on sales plan, using insight-led decision making and respond to customers needs. This role is ideal for a commercially minded leader ready to influence at scale and drive growth in a key category within Boots. Whilst leading the toiletries team, you'll also have a key role to play within the GM leadership team – helping to shape the strategic delivery and driving a strong Business Unit culture. You will be a strong collaborator, developing a strong network across the business enabling you to deliver effectively. What you'll need to have Commercial acumen – strong understanding of the P&L, pricing, funding, margin management and cost control to drive profitable growth. Category management – ability to develop and execute category strategies that balance customer needs, market trends and business priorities. Supplier relationship management – skilled in partnering with suppliers to build strategic plans. This role is accountable for managing both the Unilever and Colgate JBP. Strategic Thinking – capable of long-term planning whilst staying responsive to short-term trading pressures. Leadership and team management – experience in leading and developing high-performing commercial teams. Collaborating and Influencing – working effectively across functions, influencing stakeholders at all levels. Digital and Omnichannel trading – understanding the different channel dynamics and how to drive category performance across all customer touchpoints. Resilience and Agility – an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and make confident decisions under pressure.
