Description of role: TWI Certification (TWI Cert) is looking for an Exams Assessment Manager to manage their Examinations Team. Based at Granta Park near Cambridge, the Examinations Team are responsible for delivery of the EWF/IIW Diploma and CSWIP/BGAS-CSWIP inspection examinations. The Exams Assessment Manager will have overall responsibility for examinations, ensuring timely delivery of results and standardisation of grading across examiners. They will oversee the development of questions and question papers, provide technical input and review, and attend relevant Committee meetings as required. Reporting to the UK Chief Executive of the IIW/EWF Diplomas/ Head of Company Certification, the Exams Assessment Manager will be the primary contact between TWI Cert, Examination Centres and invigilators, ensuring that Examination Centres comply at all times with the requirements of the Examination Body Control Manual (EBCM). The Exams Assessment Manager shall keep an up-to-date list of approved invigilators/examiners and be responsible for their training and the quality of their work, in addition to managing the exams coordination team. It is essential that the candidate holds an EWF/IIW Welding Coordinator Diploma at Engineer level, as well as a current or former CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector certificate. They will also have some experience in academia, either in an industry training context or another relevant area. Experience in examinations is preferable but not essential. A willingness to work towards and gain professional membership and registration, E.G. CEng, is also highly desirable.
