About the job you're considering
This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient and fully operational data centre environment. You will support physical infrastructure, environmental monitoring, capacity planning and cabling standards while ensuring all work aligns with industry best practice, compliance, and security protocols. You will work closely with engineering teams, project managers and customers to keep the data centre estate running smoothly, safely and reliably.
Hybrid working
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
* Manage and monitor data centre environments, responding to alerts, incidents and capacity requirements.
* Oversee installations, decommissions and moves, ensuring accurate EcoStruxure updates and adherence to cabling standards.
* Allocate cabinet space, power budgets and switch ports for new builds.
* Install, test and fault‑find copper and fibre cabling.
* Configure devices and support upgrades within Schneider EcoStruxure (ITE/ITA/CFD).
* Maintain documentation, stock levels, access control records and WRF compliance.
* Support PPM schedules, elevate hardware issues and maintain a clean, secure technical environment.
* Coordinate with project teams, provide quotations, review acceptance criteria and support issue resolution.
Your skills and experience
* Strong technical experience with Schneider EcoStruxure (IT‑Expert, IT‑Advisor, CFD).
* Skilled in copper and fibre cabling installation, testing and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of data centre power, cooling, capacity planning and environmental monitoring.
* Proficient with ServiceNow for incidents, changes and tasks.
* Strong documentation, organisational and safety‑compliance skills.
* Ability to operate effectively in secure, access‑controlled environments.
* Clear, professional communication and ability to work with engineering, project and customer teams.
* Strong problem‑solving, situational awareness and continuous improvement mindset.
* To be eligible for this role you will need to hold a Full Manual Driving Licence.
