What does the future hold?
Joining Carvansons offers limitless possibilities for success. You may secure a full-time position after your apprenticeship. The practical training can lead to careers in manufacturing, construction, engineering, aerospace, automotive, or R&D sectors. The apprenticeship also serves as a stepping stone to becoming a registered Science Technician (RSci Tech) or pursuing further educational qualifications like our Level 6 BSc Applied Chemical Science Degree Apprenticeship.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
About you
This is a practical, hands-on role. You should be focused, careful, and detail-oriented. Good observation skills and the ability to think quickly are essential. You should be a good communicator, enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to learn. Candidates must be aged 18+ due to the role's nature.
Qualifications
We value enthusiasm over academic results. The best apprentices are curious, honest about their current knowledge, considerate, self-reflective, and eager to learn.
Experience
Previous experience is beneficial but not essential. We seek individuals with the right attitude and aptitude to fit into Carvansons.
How does the apprenticeship work?
Over 21 months, you'll dedicate at least 6 hours weekly to 'off the job' training, including virtual lessons, online learning, shadowing, mentoring, and assignments. This will lead to a Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship. You'll be mentored by experts from Tiro and Carvansons, gaining valuable skills and work habits. You'll earn a salary while studying, avoiding student debt.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet UK Government rules: over 16, not in full-time education, UK residency for 3 years, and right to work in the UK. If you don't meet all criteria yet, express your interest, and we'll discuss further.
