Whoever you are, whatever you're passionate about - we welcome you and encourage you to open the world through education.Your role as an EFL TeacherWork with the support of a professional academic team and award-nominated materials to deliver the EF academic program to classroom groups of up to 17 language students. You'll be planning lessons that create an inspiring safe and supportive classroom environment where building your students' confidence in using language is your primary concern.After a summer working as a teacher with EF, you will have enhanced your teaching knowledge and experience by working with a team of diverse teachers and academic management. You'll be adaptable and capable of solving various issues without hesitation. Working in an academic environment, you will have seen how students grow in their language skills, make new friends and create summer memories that last a lifetime.Watching a classroom of different nationalities bond and their language flourish is rewarding for experienced and novice teachers alike, which is what brings so many of our teachers back year on year.Your responsibilities as an EFL Teacher
1. Deliver general English classes using the EF methodology, sprinkled with your own touch
2. Next to planning and teaching classes, you are also responsible for tracking attendance and attending teacher meetings
3. Facilitating testing during the course, including scoring tests
4. General classroom management
5. Participate in peer observation programmes
6. Act as an ambassador for EF
7. Assisting with other duties as requested by the summer management team
8. Lead an academic excursion once a week (usually a Saturday or Sunday)
Requirements
9. Available to work in July
10. TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified*
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Sensitive to the needs of international students
13. Demonstrates a high level of customer service
14. Has strong administrative and organisational skills
15. Right to work in the UK
16. C2 level of English
17. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
