More information is available on our Career site at www.fife.gov.uk/jobs/supportingstatement Job Details This role involves the day-to-day supervision of parking attendants throughout Fife, ensuring resources are allocated and managed effectively. The primary function of the team is to undertake enforcement activities to ensure compliance with the relevant traffic regulation orders. This includes successful monitoring and enforcement of charged parking areas, parking restrictions and resident’s zones in accordance with decriminalised parking enforcement (DPE) powers. The Parking Supervisor is also responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements, to ensure a successful parking service is delivered including responding to customer enquiries, liaising with cash collection and maintenance services, ordering, and maintaining equipment, and any other tasks which may be necessary. Shifts are 5 days over 7 days each week, with the earliest shift starting at 7am and the latest ending at 7pm. The role is primarily based at Bankhead, Glenrothes where each shift will start and end. However, the role can require travel throughout Fife as part of a shift. Any unsociable hours worked are paid as an enhancement over and above the standard salary. The Person We are looking for someone with experience in supervision of staff and working with the public. Experience within the parking or transport industry is desirable. You should be able to demonstrate good IT and organisational skills, with full training provided on the specific systems used within the team. The applicant must have excellent people skills and the ability to effectively resolve conflict while remaining professional and polite.
