As the Principal Planning Officer, your key responsibilities will include: Leading the development of the Minerals Local Plan. Overseeing consultations and agreeing on the scope of the Plan. Commissioning evidence studies and assessing potential sites. Preparing updated policy content to support planning applications. Providing expert advice on mineral and waste planning policy. To succeed in this role, you will need: A degree in Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience in planning policy development and implementation. Knowledge of minerals and waste planning legislation. Strong analytical skills to assess data and inform decisions.
