Job Summary
Bigmore Associates is a long-standing and well-established financial services firm that offers a wide range of support and financial services to businesses and individuals.
We are looking for an experienced, Employee Benefits / Payroll Administration Assistant to join our Employee Benefits Team. Our office is based in Walton on Thames and this role is a hybrid working position with 3 days in the office and the flexibility to work 2 days a week from home. Our office hours are 8.30am to 5pm*
*Initially, flexibility will be tailored to your training and you will need to be in the office more to start with. This will allow you to learn the role as well as train with and get to know the team.
What skills, qualifications and experience do I need to have?
Excellent organisational and time management skills are paramount. Must be able to take responsibility for tasks through to completion. Previous experience of working in an office environment would be appreciated but for the right candidate we would make an exception. The candidate must be fully computer literate with good basic maths and English skills. Communication is key – both for our colleagues and our clients.
What are my key responsibilities?
· Maintain accurate client and employee records within internal systems.
· Administer and submit monthly pension contributions.
· Collate, verify, and update employee data as required.
· Liaise with third-party insurers and benefit providers to ensure accurate setup and management of client insurance and pension schemes.
· Support the payroll process, including:
* Preparing and verifying payroll data for accuracy and compliance.
* Coordinating with finance and HR teams to ensure timely payroll submission.
* Processing new starters, leavers, and employee changes (e.g., salary adjustments, benefits deductions).
* Assisting with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
* Responding to employee payroll and benefits queries promptly and professionally.

What is the compensation package?
The salary for this role is £25,000.
Our team is also eligible for a 10% discretionary bonus annually, which will depend on company profits, hitting your KPIs and exhibiting the behaviours we expect from our team, in line with our core values of:
