Overview
Accounts Receivable Team Leader/ Credit Control/ Billings/ Master Data – nationally leading business with development opportunity and excellent benefits. Forge talent have partnered with a leading retail organisation that requires an Accounts Receivable Team Leader to motivate and develop a growing team. This role will take a key part in improving cash flow and ensuring the integrity of master data, with oversight of credit control, billing and master data, plus supporting systems improvement projects in collaboration with the senior finance, commercial and IT teams. Location: Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom.
Accounts Receivable Team Leader Responsibilities
* Lead the team to ensure proactive collection of outstanding B2B amounts, minimising aged debt.
* Oversee the billing process to ensure efficiency and accuracy, minimising queries and delayed payments.
* Regularly monitor and review credit limits, ensuring effective risk management.
* Take the lead on escalated queries and disputes, ensuring effective outcomes.
* Provide regular and accurate reporting and commentary to the Senior Finance Team on aged debt, cash collection and credit risk.
* Develop and maintain customer and supplier master data, ensuring integrity, accuracy and compliance.
* Support regular audits by ensuring data accuracy and providing required correspondence.
* Set and monitor effective KPIs for the team, reviewing as required in regular 1:1s.
* Collaborate with the direct team and wider business to ensure process effectiveness to support business needs.
* Proactively support systems projects, optimising and developing the use of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* Define and develop best practices across data governance, customer onboarding, and credit assessment.
Accounts Receivable Team Leader Required Experience
* Full exposure to and understanding of end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including credit control, credit risk, billing and master data.
* Previous leadership experience with the ability to motivate and mentor a growing team to achieve best results.
* Experience in a larger, fast-paced business environment; retail sector experience is highly advantageous.
* Advanced Excel and computerised systems skills. Previous use of or exposure to Dynamics 365 is highly advantageous.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with confidence to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing and supporting decisions.
* High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring data integrity.
* Proactive, positive and passionate approach with a drive to develop the team and processes.
* Commitment to continual improvements and excellent time management.
