PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Residential Groundworks Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Northampton.
Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities
* Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
* Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
* Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
* Preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
* Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
* Forecast monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.
* Allocating work to sub-contractors including assistance with procurement when required.
* Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
* Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
* Residential Groundworks background is Essential
* Other Groundworks and Civils experience may be considered
* QS or Senior QS with Groundworks experience will be considered
* Professional membership of appropriate body
* Good data interrogation skills
* Bid Knowledge
* Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Valid driving licence

* Salary - £40,000 - £75,000 DOE
