Overview
An enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Nurse is needed to join a community‑based multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Nurses and Health Care Trainers within the Community Pain Management Service. The role focuses on delivering person‑centred care for patients with persistent pain and optimising their mental health.
Responsibilities
* Work autonomously within the Community Pain Management Service to manage a caseload of patients with persistent pain.
* Provide individualised patient care to improve patients’ quality of life through mental health optimisation.
* Deliver group pain management sessions, giving education and advice face‑to‑face and online.
* Collaborate closely with the Tier 3 pain management team and the Community MSK Service.
Qualifications and Experience
* Desirable: pain‑management experience.
* Desirable: independent non‑medical prescribing qualification.
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
* Resilience and a calm demeanour needed to work in this specialist field.
