Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with architectural and/or construction experience to join our team as a Construction Inspector. The position is hybrid and based in dCEI’s Marlton office with travel in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction codes and standards, the ability to identify and correct construction defects, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. The construction inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction projects.
Responsibilities
* Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
* Monitor the quality of construction work.
* Approve or reject construction materials and workmanship.
* Investigate and resolve construction problems.
* Prepare reports and documentation.
Qualifications
* 2+ years’ experience in construction, engineering, and/or architecture in New Jersey.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Independent and critical thinking.
* The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management skills.
* Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronically.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
