The IT Service Management Practice has a membership of well over 1100 DWP Digital colleagues who undertake a wide portfolio of job roles across DWP Digital. The role of Digital Practice Support Manager is a key enabler for the Service Management Practice members to collaborate, share ideas, skills, knowledge and ways of working, in order to build their own capabilities and achieve better outcomes. In this role within the Practice Support Team, you will work closely with your colleagues, the Head of Practice, Executive Sponsor, and Heads of Role to: Maintain rigour and accuracy around some of our internal governance, to ensure our BAU activities are consistent and are monitored and reported effectively. Play an active role in building and maintaining a strong Community of Practice brand and identity and provide day-to-day advice and support to the members of the Practice community. Contribute to the development and delivery of strategic outcomes for the Practice, including ownership of deliverables which underpin Practice Plan objectives for Capacity, Capability and Community. Contribute to the overall Digital Practice Support community, driving and leading opportunities to share knowledge, establish Standards and develop a strong community presence. You will apply your knowledge and expertise to accelerate Digital performance and quality by championing consistency, and using effective governance and processes to prioritise delivery. Job Description: As an experienced digital professional, you will be responsible for supporting and building capability within your Practice community. You will work as part of the Service Management Practice Team, which has a broad remit to support and build capability within your Practice community. We are a collaborative team, and you will provide support across all areas of the Practice Support Team remit. Primarily, you will deliver a range of outcomes that will include: Acting as the primary owner of some BAU operational processes within the Practice Support Team, e.g. Practice inbox, internal and external reporting outputs, data analysis across a range of membership engagement. Ownership of deliverables that enable the achievement of Practice Plan objectives. Actively supporting the induction and onboarding of new resources into the Practice, leveraging your knowledge and skills to increase Digital capability. Being an active member of the Digital Practice Support community, driving and leading opportunities to share knowledge and develop a strong community presence. Maintaining a view of IT Service Management capability needs and the current state across Digital Group. Promoting the learning, development and coaching offerings of the Practice. Providing domain expertise in recruitment, and. Applying an awareness of relevant IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL and government standards such as Government Digital & Data (GDaD)in leading the professional development of practice members.
