About the School
Located in the heart of Clacton on Sea, our school is a specialist hub for students aged 5:16 who struggle with emotional regulation and mental health challenges. We are a Trauma:Informed school, meaning we prioritise felt:safety and building relationships over rigid punishment. We believe that every child deserves a fresh start, every single morning.
Responsibilities include
* Helping students identify their triggers and find ways to calm down before they reach a breaking point.
* Being the link between the teachers lesson and the students reality.
* Using your training (like Team Teach or Step On) to keep the environment safe and positive.
* Tracking small social victories that lead to big life changes.
Required Qualities
* Experience working with youth, mental health, or challenging behaviour (even if it wasnt in a school).
* The ability to bounce back after a tough afternoon and show up with a smile the next day.
* A desire to help the young people of Clacton on Sea find their way back to learning.
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness
