Evergreen provides specialist, short-term care for children and young people aged 13-17 with severe or complex mental health difficulties. You will be working alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team that reflects the population we serve. Our vision is to make a positive difference in young people's lives by providing the highest quality mental health services to our local communities, helping them overcome some of life's challenges.
We are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to undertake direct or indirect care of patients or groups of patients aged between 13-17 years, as part of the team, under the supervision of registered nurses within Evergreen.
Evergreen is a recently developed specialist Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) unit in Luton. In 2021, NHS England confirmed additional funding to develop an interim acute mental health inpatient unit for children and young people in Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes.
The development of Evergreen has involved children, parents, and carers who have experience of inpatient admission. Young people have helped us plan the ethos of the unit, recruit staff, and think about how we can deliver the best care.
Our mission is to make a positive difference in people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive. We seek individuals who embody these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues within the Trust and our partner organizations.
