And now, we’re looking for a Digital Trading Manager to lead the charge on our high-performing Screwfix App – one of our most exciting and fast-evolving sales channels.

About the role

As our new Digital Trading Manager – App, you’ll take ownership of trading performance across the UK & ROI app, using data, insight, and creativity to drive revenue, grow customer participation, and make the Screwfix App the most convenient way to shop with us.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Trading Manager, you’ll develop trading strategies, shape app-specific campaigns, and work cross-functionally with teams across marketing, CRM, commercial, and supply chain to deliver a seamless customer experience that converts.

This role is fully remote, with the flexibility and autonomy to make your mark – and the support of a passionate, collaborative digital team.

Responsibilities

1. Lead digital trading strategy and execution for the Screwfix App (UK & ROI)
2. Optimise performance across key KPIs: sessions, app revenue, orders, conversion rate, AOV & revenue per user
3. Use insight and analytics to spot trends, identify opportunities, and deliver impactful trading plans
4. Collaborate across marketing, commercial, supply chain, and CRM to ensure joined-up execution
5. Deliver comms via app push and in-app messaging aligned with campaigns and peak trading moments
6. Benchmark against competitors and explore market trends to keep our app offer ahead of the curve
7. Present clear insights and recommendations based on GA4, ContentSquare, Power BI or other analytics tools
8. Own sign-off and execution of digital-first campaign assets, with an eye on brand, compliance, and commercial goals
9. Manage and support performance of direct reports, helping them grow and thrive

Qualifications

10. Proven experience in digital trading, eCommerce, or digital merchandising
11. Experience working within a retail environment
12. Previous responsibility for trading an app or app-based channel
13. Highly analytical and data-savvy – you love turning numbers into actionable insight
14. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
15. Hands-on experience with tools like GA4, ContentSquare, Power BI, and direct marketing platforms
16. Organised, motivated, and confident working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
17. A passion for digital customer experience and continuous improvement
