Overview
Quality & Process Engineer role at an Automotive Aftermarket Manufacturer in Smethwick. The successful candidate will actively improve processes, drive quality, and deliver practical engineering solutions that have a real commercial impact. This role involves collaboration across Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Training to set standards and ensure they are met.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) and Business Management System (BMS) in line with industry standards.
* Design and develop new products, improvements, tooling, fixtures, and associated equipment.
* Carry out supplier, product, and service audits to ensure everything meets required specifications.
* Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and technical documentation such as FMEAs, Control Plans, and PFDs.
* Champion continual improvement in processes, quality, and production capabilities.
* Deliver both formal and on-the-job training to embed quality awareness across the business.

What You'll Need
* Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering or related field
* Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
* Knowledge of ISO, IATF, and APQP standards plus quality/project management techniques
* Audit qualification (or willingness to achieve one)
