Northern Skills are recruiting on behalf of Tees Esk and Wear Valleys who are looking for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join their team. During the course of this apprenticeship, you will be learning the role of a business administrator while also gaining a qualification.
Wage: £13,741 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age, in line with the National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Producing a variety of communications to colleagues, stakeholders and others, e.g., emails, reports, spreadsheets
* Minute-taking as directed
* Data input onto Information systems
* Managing and distributing incoming post and emails
* Assisting colleagues with the preparation of documents for meetings and events
* Undertaking data/evidence gathering, e.g., evaluations, feedback
* Providing a friendly, professional and customer-focused service to all stakeholders
* Ensuring all general enquiries are responded to in a professional and timely manner, in accordance with instruction and procedures
* Directing difficult/complex enquiries to the appropriate staff
* Undertaking any such duties commensurate with the post as directed by Line Manager
* Having a good knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018 and a willingness and commitment to ensure compliance with this and any associated data-related legislation
* Developing and maintaining an awareness of the services provided to patients/communities
The postholder will be fully supported during the apprenticeship and will receive a full induction and ongoing training.

Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation, to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data, e.g., MS Office or equivalent packages
* Producing accurate records and documents, including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals, and making recommendations for improvements
* Exercising proactivity and good judgement, making effective decisions based on sound reasoning, and dealing with challenges in a mature way
* Building and maintaining positive relationships within the team and across the organisation, demonstrating the ability to influence and challenge appropriately
* Demonstrating good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms, and using the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively
* Completing tasks to a high standard, demonstrating the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks, and applying problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaints
* Taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, managing priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines, and positively managing the expectations of colleagues at all levels
* Using relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report, and planning required resources to successfully deliver projects
* Participating in the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, with day release at Middlesbrough College
Requirements
GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4) is required. If you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience, the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme, there could be a potential position of employment available, depending on the circumstances of the business.
