As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator/Welder to join our production team in Market Harborough.
Role Overview
The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for manufacturing, and welding metal components to engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, strong fabrication skills, and pride in producing high-quality work for vehicle and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and weld components using MIG welding processes
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions
Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using appropriate fabrication tools and machinery
Ensure all work meets quality standards and dimensional tolerances
Perform tack welding, final welding, and finishing as required
Carry out visual inspections of welds and fabricated assemblies
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues
Take ownership of tasks and use your own initiative to identify solutions
Support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong MIG welding skills
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
Experience with fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, drills, and presses
Good understanding of fabrication tolerances and quality standards
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience working with vehicle chassis, automotive, or structural fabrication
Formal welding or fabrication qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
Experience with jigs and fixtures
