The Role
BAE are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their Digital Intelligence team within Communications and Networks. You will support the development of innovative technology solutions, working across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Support systems engineering activities across design, development, and integration
* Contribute to business development studies and technical solutions
* Deliver work to agreed scope, quality, and timelines
* Accurately report progress and provide technical input
* Maintain high standards of safety and compliance
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in Systems Engineering
* Good understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance
* Experience with development tools such as requirements management, modelling, and defect tracking systems
* Experience supporting business development activities is advantageous
* Background in communications technologies (voice, data, and radio systems) is highly desirable
Desirable technical knowledge includes:
* IP networking and network design
* VOIP
* Network security and management
* Linux and virtual machine environments
* Designing equipment to meet strict environmental and EMC requirements
* Understanding of design certification and product safety processes
