Reporting functionally to the Lead Production Engineer you will be working with the Continual Operations Readiness Team to deliver on the projects mission. Primary location will be the Dogger Bank O&M Base at the Port of Tyne. This a Permanent, Mon-Frid position, On-shore/Office based with occasional Off-shore duties. Job Description Responsibilities: Drive the safe and reliable delivery of WTG power production through continuous improvement and standardisation of corrective and preventative maintenance, improving first-time fix performance and scheduled service excellence. Ensure site maintenance activities are delivered safely, to high quality standards, within budget and to schedule, with robust KPI tracking, reporting, and management of deviations and mitigation plans. Accelerate the readiness and deployment of standardised technical solutions to achieve high-performance SQDC outcomes in collaboration with customers. Champion and implement GE Lean principles and foundational LEAN practices across operations. Enable clear ownership and effective handovers between customer and technical teams, driving high levels of customer service from early project phases. Monitor, manage, and transparently report production-based availability metrics in alignment with customer requirements. Lead execution of production-based availability plans to maximise performance through strong collaboration between operators and GE teams. Centralise and standardise documentation, localisation, and deployment processes, including customer approvals and engineering coordination. Convert maintenance instructions and troubleshooting guides into fully deployable work packages, including parts, tooling, PPE, approvals, and kitting requirements. Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures. Ensure safe execution of work by implementing and maintaining safe systems of work, including LV/HV and WTSR compliance. Support the development of competency frameworks, authorisation processes, and technician skills progression. Liaise with central engineering teams to prioritise issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative action plans. Develop strong technical understanding of wind turbine systems to support effective technical prioritisation and decision-making. Establish and embed standardised fault-handling processes to enable efficient offshore technician mobilisation. Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including DMAIC, to drive continuous improvement and retain organisational knowledge. Ensure site teams are kept up to date with safety and quality information through effective toolbox talks and briefings. Contribute to process, quality, and safety improvement initiatives, capturing and sharing lessons learned. Review and assure lifting plans and lifting operations to maintain consistent, safe working practices. Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance procedures are operationally viable and compliant with local EHS requirements. Support the review of turbine work scopes, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated prior to execution. Participate in rotation-based offshore work as required, including work on service operations vessels. Travel Expectations The role will be predominantly based at the Port of Tyne, South Shields. The role may require international travel. Ability and willingness to work offshore as required. Education / Professional Experience Ideally degree in an engineering discipline or professional education / apprenticeship in a technical discipline. with extensive professional experience. Capable of working offshore at site operational wind farms. Ideally significant experience of offshore wind Maintenance operations. Or/And On-shore Wind experience. Known ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment, with remote teams as a solid team player who can enable change and get work over the line. Technical knowledge and skills Ideally successful offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline. High motivation level; self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills. High capability with various office and cloud based software. Solid oral and written communication skills.
