Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Completions Coordinator on a 3 Month Contract, based in Hartlepool.
Role Summary
Completions Coordinator is responsible for creating and tracking the resolution of punch list items to ensure project completion meets quality, safety, and contractual requirements. This role serves as the central point of coordination between construction, engineering, quality, commissioning, and client representatives to drive timely closure of outstanding items and support successful project turnover.
Key Responsibilities
Punch List Management
* Develop, maintain, and update punch lists throughout project execution and closeout.
* Log punch items accurately, including location, discipline, priority, and responsible party.
* Track status and progress of punch items from identification through closure.
* Ensure punch items are properly verified and signed off once complete
Coordination & Communication
* Coordinate with construction, engineering, quality, commissioning, and subcontractors to resolve punch items.
* Schedule and facilitate punch walks and inspections with internal teams and clients.
* Communicate priorities, deadlines, and escalation items clearly to stakeholders.
* Act as the primary point of contact for punch-related questions and status updates.
Reporting & Documentation
* Generate regular punch list status reports for project leadership and clients.
* Maintain accurate records in project management or quality tracking systems.
* Support lessons learned and closeout reviews related to punch item trends.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify recurring punch item issues and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
* Support process improvements to reduce punch list volume and improve closeout efficiency.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field).
* 2+ years of experience in construction, quality, commissioning, or project coordination roles.
* Familiarity with punch list processes in construction or industrial projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Procore, Aconex, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
* Knowledge of quality management systems and inspection processes.
* Experience working directly with clients and inspectors during closeout.
* OSHA or site safety training (as applicable).
