Location: Barking and Dagenham, London
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Key Responsibilities
* Managing end-to-end freight forwarding operations for ship spares (import & export)
* Coordinating urgent and time‑critical shipments via air, sea, and road
* Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, agents, and clients worldwide
* Preparing and checking all relevant shipping documentation (AWB, B/L, customs paperwork)
* Tracking shipments and providing real‑time updates to clients
* Handling customs clearance processes and ensuring compliance with regulations
* Problem‑solving and managing any delays or issues proactively
Requirements
* Previous experience within freight forwarding (ideally with ship spares or time‑critical logistics)
* Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proactive and solutions‑focused approach
