*Top Gear Stoke*, a well-established and highly regarded used car dealership in *Stoke on Trent*, is seeking an experienced and technically proficient *Workshop & After-Sales Manager* to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with *relevant experience* in vehicle diagnostics, technical management, and after-sales service to oversee a dynamic team of Vehicle Technicians and Body Repair Specialists. You will be responsible for ensuring all vehicles are in optimal condition, managing stock appraisals, conducting vehicle health checks, and addressing customer after-sales issues.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Team Leadership:* Manage and lead the team of Vehicle Technicians and Vehicle Body Repair specialists, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency in all operations.
* *Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs:* Oversee advanced diagnostic work, fault finding, and vehicle repairs. Ensure that all work is completed to the highest technical standards and in a timely manner.
* *Stock Appraisal:* Conduct accurate stock appraisals and oversee the management of parts and inventory to ensure availability for repairs and services.
* *Vehicle Health Checks & Pre-Delivery Inspections:* Conduct thorough vehicle health checks and pre-delivery inspections, ensuring all vehicles meet *Top Gear Stoke's* quality standards before delivery to customers.
* *Work Planning & Scheduling:* Plan, organize, and prioritize workshop tasks efficiently, ensuring optimal workflow and minimal downtime.
* *After-Sales Customer Service:* Address and resolve any after-sales issues or customer concerns. Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups and effective solutions.
* *Health & Safety Compliance:* Ensure the workshop adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
* *Staff Training & Development:* Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and support to your team to ensure technical skills are kept up to date with industry advancements.
*Key Requirements*
* *Relevant Experience:* Must have *demonstrable experience* in a similar role managing a team of Vehicle Technicians and Body Repair specialists within a multi-brand dealership or workshop environment.
* *Technical Knowledge:* Advanced technical knowledge in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including the ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and software.
* *Multi-Brand Expertise:* Strong experience working with a wide range of vehicle brands and models, ideally within a high-volume or multi-brand used car setup.
* *Leadership & Management Skills:* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a technical team effectively.
* *Problem-Solving:* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing complex vehicle issues and delivering solutions.
* *Customer Focus:* A customer-first mentality with experience in after-sales service and resolving customer concerns effectively.
* *Organizational Skills:* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
* *Qualifications:* Relevant qualifications in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
