A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Clinical Director role within at a brand-new, independent veterinary practice in the heart of Berkshire. This is a truly unique chance to shape and lead a modern, fully refurbished clinic from the ground up, with real potential for future partnership.
The building is already set up as a veterinary practice and requires only cosmetic updates and personalisation, giving you the perfect blank canvas to create something exceptional. The vision is to grow into a 2.5–3 FTE practice—offering a close-knit team environment with space to scale sustainably. As Clinical Director, you’ll have the freedom and support to shape the clinical direction, establish protocols, select equipment, and most importantly, build and develop a talented and passionate team around you.
This role places you right at the centre of decision-making from day one. You’ll be involved in everything from recruiting new team members and finalising the clinic’s setup, to ensuring high clinical standards and client care from the outset. Working closely with the practice management, you’ll also play a vital role in business development and practice growth, bringing your own ideas and vision to life.
My client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong clinical background, ideally with prior leadership experience in roles such as Senior Vet, Clinical Lead, or Clinical Director. What matters most is that you’re passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, have a genuine interest in developing people, and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow and shape the business. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with the drive to take ownership of this exciting project.
