Attendance Manager – City of York Council
The Joseph Rowntree School is looking to recruit an efficient, organised and committed Attendance Manager to manage and oversee student attendance procedures.
You will be responsible for accurately monitoring and promoting the importance of attendance, recording and reporting attendance data to highlight trends, and working with students, families and pastoral teams to improve attendance.

Main Responsibilities
* Oversee attendance procedures, including managing the administration processes and procedures for attendance.
* Line manage the Attendance & Education Welfare Officer.
* Answer and log calls from parents/carers reporting student absences daily.
* Work with students, families, and staff to promote good attendance and apply strategies to reduce persistent absenteeism.
* Respond to any leave requests in line with government guidelines.
* Communicate student absence to relevant members of staff.
