Business Development Manager – International Shipping
Location: Southampton, UK
Salary: £55, (DOE) + Bonus + Company Car
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Manage your Own Diary
Are you a results driven, sales hungry freight and logistics business development manager, looking for a new role in the Southampton area? This role could be right for you.
My client is offering a fantastic package to help develop their customer base in the Short-Sea, Ro/Ro and Deep Sea Shipping sectors. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line, developing Short-Sea and or Deep-Sea Trade Lanes and have great knowledge and experience with UK, EU and International Markets.

Key Responsibilities:
7. To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent ocean freight forwarding services.
8. To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
9. Be the forefront of the company’s development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
10. Develop new and existing Short-Sea Lanes, Ro/Ro Trailer and Container Operations.
Requirements:
11. Customer/Business/Route Development Manager Experience is Essential.
12. Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line.
13. Knowledge and experience within Container, Shipping and Ro/Ro sales/operations is Essential.
14. Previous experience working with UK, EU and/or International Markets.
15. Hold a full, clean, UK driving licence.
