Enterprise Nation has been operating in the UK for more than a decade, where we support over 750,000 small businesses each year.
In 2021, the business expanded to Ireland, and we are now looking for a Country Manager to lead the strategic direction, grow revenue and increase our network and influence. In this role, you will drive growth in Ireland, in partnership with our experienced Executive team, oversee partner and government relations, and promote Enterprise Nation to small businesses and trusted advisers. You will report into the CCO and COO.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded with experience of stakeholder relations, business growth, building a team and able to work collaboratively with the leadership and wider team in the UK, at pace.
As Ireland Country Manager, you will:
4. Have overall responsibility for strategy and growth in the country when it comes to revenue, and growth in the small business community we support
5. Have management and oversight of the budget in Ireland
6. Represent Enterprise Nation to engage with the small business community ecosystem, corporate and public sector clients, political stakeholders (including Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Office network) and media
7. Build a strategy for ecosystem and partner engagement, including delivery of events, roundtables and regular communications/updates
8. Own relationship with key clients, and work with the partnerships/commercial team (UK) to source new opportunities for revenue/clients, driving sales pipeline
9. Broaden and deepen relationships with the small business community
10. Promote the Enterprise Nation brand across Ireland through media activity and being the company’s spokesperson, attending and speaking at Enterprise Nation and other small business events
11. Build and manage a team in territory, starting with a marketing and community manager
12. Oversight of Ireland programme deliverables (and budgets), including management of partners alongside Programme Managers in UK
13. Identify potential revenue and grant sources for support of start-ups and small businesses
14. Engage with the engineering/product team (UK based) to develop the expansion of the platform in Ireland, ensuring relevance and accessibility
You are/have:
15. Passionate about small independent businesses, with a strong network. Experience in, or connections to, the start-up and small business market in Ireland is crucial
16. Highly organised with an ability to identify priorities in busy periods and take initiative
17. Ambitious to lead the Irish business, develop the strategy and deliver on it
18. Commercially strong, with the ability to sell the vision and manage key clients
19. An excellent communicator and confident facilitator and host – a good speaker, networker and energy to attend events and engage with key stakeholders
20. Able to think creatively to solve partners and business problems and meet targets
21. Experienced in strategy design and building a resourcing plan
22. Using Microsoft Office suite (or equivalent), including Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Any experience in CRM systems, online event platforms or Eventbrite is advantageous (training will be provided)
23. Experienced in line management, with a strong ability to provide leadership to more junior members of the team
24. Hands on and a motivated team player, willing to support your team members and liaise with various stakeholders in the wider organisation
We offer:
25. €60,000-€80,000 per annum (depending on experience + bonus scheme based on revenue and results)
