Key Responsibilities: Perform high quality FCAW and MMA welding to required standards and procedures. Work across a variety of ship repair and heavy engineering tasks. Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and specifications. Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly work where required. Conduct weld repairs, inspections, and rework to maintain structural integrity. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies at all times. Work both on the main Southampton site and occasionally at off-site locations. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition. Job Requirements: Coded or previously coded FCAW / MMA Welder (valid or recently expired codes accepted). Demonstrable experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering. Ability to work confidently from technical drawings. Flexibility to work on-site and off-site as required. Full UK Driving Licence (essential). Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
