Manchester

Posted: 24 August
Offer description

This apprenticeship is office based and will be undertaken on-site in a designated government office that you are assigned to. You will be expected to work full time in the office for the duration of your apprenticeship; however, hybrid working may be supported and can be discussed with your line manager once in post.

Please note - If you are under the age of 19 years at the start of your apprenticeship you will be required to complete and achieve level 2 functional skills in Maths and English as part of your apprenticeship (if you don't already hold a GCSE grade 4 or higher in these subjects). If you are 19 years or older you will still have the option to complete functional skills and gain the level 2 qualification; this is not a mandatory element of your apprenticeship but may be a requirement of your role, should the department feel it beneficial/necessary.

You will be asked to choose your preferred location on your application form. Please only provide us with a location which is easily commutable or you are willing to relocate to. Candidates are not offered the option to change location once they have accepted a role. Relocation or commuting costs will not be covered so you must be confident at the point of application that you can work from all selected locations.

You will be placed in one of our participating departments into a job role, at Administrative Officer (AO) level, aligned with the apprenticeship.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship route offers a unique opportunity to earn whilst you learn with a bespoke package of support and training, to help you start to build your career.

This role will provide you with experience whilst undertaking a range of administrative and casework processing activities, supporting you to develop your skills and behaviours to support your progression.

We offer a full and comprehensive training and development programme for this role with on-going support.

Please see the attached candidate pack for further information.
