We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join our client's established accident repair centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organisation that invests in its people and facilities, delivering quality repairs on a diverse range of vehicles.
THE ROLE
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicle panels to their original condition, using traditional hand skills alongside modern repair techniques. You will work on various vehicles, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods Carry out panel repairs using traditional hand tools and modern equipment Strip and refit panels, trim, and components as required Align panels and ensure gaps are consistent with manufacturer specifications Weld and fabricate repairs where necessary Prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality finish Work to repair methods and follow manufacturer guidelines Maintain accurate records of work completed Collaborate with the body shop team to ensure efficient workflow Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times Keep work area clean, tidy, and organised
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Panel Beater within the accident repair industry Full UK driving licence Strong metalworking skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, and composites Experience with modern repair techniques and equipment Good working knowledge of vehicle construction and repair methods Ability to work from technical manuals and follow manufacturer guidelines Team player with excellent communication skills Relevant qualifications desirable (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Body Repair)
