We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Quality Control Engineer to join our team in Chertsey. As a Quality Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional quality.


What you’ll do


* Develop and implement quality control procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards and regulations.
* Conduct inspections and audits to assess product quality and identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Production, and procurement, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Perform root cause analysis and develop effective solutions to address quality concerns and improve overall product quality.
* Establish and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and quality records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
* Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
* Monitor and analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
* Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and quality.
* Support customer inquiries and complaints related to quality, investigating issues and providing timely and effective resolutions.
* Train and mentor employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to quality control and incorporate them into the company's quality management system. columns.


What you’ll need


* Bachelor’s degree in electronic or mechanical engineering or a related field
* Proven experience working as a Quality Control Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, UK and MOD standards, and regulations.
* Experience with quality tools and techniques such as statistical process control (SPC),root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and the ability to communicate quality-related information effectively at all levels of the business.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
* IT literate and proficient with MS Office.
