This is what you’ll actually do! As our Reliability Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the site reliability and asset strategy. You will lead the development and implementation of the site asset care program to optimise equipment performance and availability. You will investigate engineering non-conformities, including breakdowns, failures, and deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). You will set clear performance expectations and drive accountability across the team, you will oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and succession development You will own and deliver reliability standards across the site, by owning key process including; NCR management, root cause analysis, risk based maintenance plans, and PUWER assessments to guarantee equipment compliance and safety, and keep all documentation, manuals, and compliance logs up to date. Additionally, you will collaborate with Production and Operations to align engineering priorities with business needs, you will develop and manage the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimise operational disruption, and monitor key performance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and OEE. You will also lead and develop apprentices and junior engineers to build reliability capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and operational teams. Ideally this is you! Minimum 5 years’ experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role, ideally FMCG or bakery Previously held a leadership role with responsibility for managing team performance, driving operational improvements and ensuring delivery against business objectives. Strong knowledge of PUWER regulations and engineering compliance Skilled in RCA, RCM, FMEA, OEE analysis, and predictive maintenance Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance scheduling tools Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills Strong communication and leadership skills, confident presenting across all levels of the business Degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Control & Automation, or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent) PUWER Assessor certification preferred; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable
